Family Fitness Trails

By working with the Welsh Government, Cyngor Gwynedd and Actif North Wales, Byw’n Iach is happy to announce that we can offer Family Fitness Trails throughout Gwynedd!

13 paths are available in every corner of the county in Abererch, Bala, Bethesda, Dolgellau, Glynllifon, Llanberis, Manod, Pwllheli, Porthmadog and Tywyn.

The paths are a perfect way to keep healthy and spend time as a family for free!

Recording Cards

After walking any path, you will need to record your miles in the booklet (Available here) and get it signed by an adult to confirm that you have completed the walk.

Certificates for 10, 20, 30, 40 and 50 miles are available in Byw’n Iach centres or by contacting Ffion Williams, Gwynedd Sports Development Officer on ffionwilliams3@bywniach.cymru

Things to remember when using the paths

To make sure everyone stays safe and has fun, here are a few things to remember when using the paths:

  • Follow the signs. Ones like the one seen above will be placed along the paths.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult.
  • Paths may be slippery or muddy, take care and wear appropriate footwear.
  • Respect other path users.
