How to use the Byw'n Iach App?

The Byw’n Iach App is the center of all our latest information, updates, schedules, events and notifications.

Customer Information:

  • Members with an online account and password use the same login details for the app.
  • Members who have not used their account – send your Byw’n Iach Membership Number or Byw’n Iach Card Number (GN…), your Full Name and Full Address to your local centre or here: Contact
  • The app is available to all customers to review sessions and receive news (but requires membership / account to be able to book)

Am I allowed to use Byw’n Iach swimming pools?

Our pool is open to everyone.

Your local centre’s under 8s swimming access policy: Read here

It is possible for non-members and casual users to use the swimming pool; the following are available:

Family Swim Ticket: 2 + 2 *includes racket sports

Pay as you go:  Individual swim ticket

You don’t have to book for public swimming sessions. Please refer to our website for the current fees and charges: Prices

What are Byw'n Iach's rules about clothing in the swimming pools?

Byw’n Iach strives to ensure that our customers feel comfortable in our swimming pools by showering before swimming and wearing clean swimwear. We want customers to feel comfortable using our pools and pride ourselves on being a provider of recreation for all. See below our swimwear guide to help make it clearer.

What is the Byw'n Iach Fitness Passport scheme?

Our passport scheme is a scheme which gives access to young people aged 11-15 to the fitness rooms, read more about the scheme here: FITNESS PASSPORT 11 – 15 YEARS OED

Can I use Byw'n Iach facilities without being a member?

Our terms and conditions state that non-members can book up to 10 days in advance, in person or by telephone, with payment of the appropriate non-member fee.
You can call to book and pay by contacting your local centre.

Temporary membership offers a discounted price on activities.

Weekly Ticket: Provides access to our pools, gyms, fitness classes and racket sports courts on any number of occasions, across all our sites in Gwynedd for 7 consecutive days. A short induction to the machines in the gym/weights room is offered as part of the weekly membership, or if you are confident, you can sign a disclaimer.

Day Pass: Provides access to our pools, gyms, fitness classes and racket sports courts on any number of occasions, across all our sites in Gwynedd for 1 day only.

Bookings can be made online, in person, or over the phone with a valid membership or pass. You can also turn up.

Is it possible to freeze my membership?

As per our terms and conditions, we require 1 month’s notice to amend membership.

You may be able to temporarily freeze your membership for up to 6 months. This is only available for the following reasons:

  • Serious illness

  • Serious injury

  • Pregnancy

  • Redundancy

Supporting documents may be required to support the application. Please contact your local centre for a form.
