Outdoor play

We understand that keeping children entertained during the holidays can be expensive. During the school holidays, Byw’n Iach will be allowing local children and young people to use the outdoor courts and fields for free during the centre opening hours and outside of sessions booked by customers.

Here are the facilities that will be available:

  • Synthetic field, Plas Ffrancon
  • 5 a side field, Bangor
  • Synthetic field and Tennis and Basket Ball courts, Arfon
  • Synthetic field, Plas Silyn
  • Synthetic field and tennis courts, Dwyfor
  • 5 a side field and tennis courts, Glaslyn
  • MUGA, Glan Wnion
  • Synthetic field and Tennis Courts, Bro Dysynni

There’s welcome for parents and guardians to play with the children and we will be working along side Youth Services and the police to arrange events from time to time.

Some basic equipment will be available to borrow from the centre if needed e.g. Tennis rackets and balls.

The local young people have helped us to create a set of standards for using the facilities:

  • Respect the equipment and facilities
  • Respect the staff and other users
  • No bikes or scooters on the courts or fields
  • Trainers only
  • No littering

If standards are not met, staff have the right to exclude individuals, or close the facilities. So, this is in your hands young people of Gwynedd!

Thank you to Youth Services and the North Wales Police for their support!
